Antarctica - written by Ronn

The extremely giant misty cold wind of the biggest desert in the world almost knocked my feet off of the ground and sent me flying but on the bottom of my boot’s were spike’s so I could stand on the ice. Do you know where I am? Yes it is Antarctica. I have been here to research how deep and cold the water is. Today I learnt the deeper you go under the cold water the warmer it get’s.

I also learnt that male emperor penguin take care of their egg while the mum goes fishing. When killer whales find their prey they cooperate to get the seal or penguin off of the iceberg. Some leopard seal’s are so viscous that they eat other seal’s!!

Antarctica is larger than europe and australia it is extremely cold. It’s like a desert but cold and the icebergs are carved by the wind and sea. I’d hate to go in a condition with one of the strongest storm there. The water is really icy but when you go all the way down to the bottom of the sea its warm because its closer to the center of the world.

There are many animals that live in Antarctica some are clumsy some are carnivores and some slide on their bellies.  The killer whale is a carnivores because it eats other whales, it also eats squid, fish, seal, dolphins and seabirds. There is one seal that eats other seals baby and that is the leopard seal they call it the leopard seal because of its spots. Did you know the emperor penguin is the largest penguin. there are 17 different types of penguins and five different types of seals.
