MY WRITING ABOUT ROBERT DELAUNY
Robert Delaunay was a french painter long with his wife Sonia he was even a poet and a writer he invented contrasting color also geometric shapes. He liked to use bright vibrant colors to bring his art to life often using shapes to represent an object of movement in his art work.
Meleane writing about Monet
Claude Monet was an impressionist french painter who enjoyed painting landscape and cityscapes. He will always capture light and colour movement in different subject or seasons.
Monet created a beautiful water garden in Giverny and used it as a subject over and over again. He liked the way how the water moved and reflect the world.
The famous painting of the Japanese bridge showed an arched bridge crossing a pond. It was surrounded with trees and shrubs which reflects the light off of the surface in the pond when the season changes.

Jackson Pollock Art by Hope Loia
Happily Rm 15 went outside to paint an artwork just like Jackson Pollock’s art. We grabbed a piece of huge cardboard and a piece of A3 paper. I sellotaped my A3 paper to my cardboard. Quickly we ran outside and started to flick. As I was flicking on my paint I could already feel paint on me!
I used multiple colours for my painting like blue, yellow, black, white, pink and different other colours. It felt icky but it was still fun. Messily my hands were covered with paint.
Sadly I got paint on my uniform.
Jackson Pollock was a frenchman who lived in America. I think he was from New york. He also smoked and drank a lot. He has a wife and her name is Lee Krasner. Sadly he died when he was 44 year old.

Jackson Pollock by Grace Matatahi
Just doing our work Mr Marks told us we will be doing art. What a exciting activity. We got our A3 paper and put it on a cardboard, I sellotaped my A3 paper onto my cardboard.
I grabbed a paintbrush and splattered it on my paper. What a mess but it was cool. Have you ever splattered paint on paper before?
I used contrasting colours it was very colourful. As soon as we could we flicked, splattered and we dribbled all the colors before we packed up.
The artist we were inspired by was Jackson Pollock. He lived in America. He was married and he smoked and drank a lot. His wife’s name was Lee krasner. He died at 44 in a car crash at an early age. He was really passionate about his art.

Swimming at the YMCA pools
Wow! Entering the ymca pool is so exciting. I can’t hardly wait to get inside the pool. So I immediately rushed and rinse my self.
In I go, bobbing my head under the warm blue water. I suddenly pop my head up and realised we were starting. So here I go gliding through the wavy water, I popped my head up and took a deep breath. It felt like I just got shot out of a canon.
I hope next year we can do this again.

Rippa Rugby at Eden Park
Year 5&6 Girls Rippa Rugby @ Eden Park from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.
A team of Year 5 and 6 girls travelled to Eden Park to play for the Challenge Cup. This was a very exciting experience for the girls, especially those that had never been to Eden Park before. The girls had a great experience even though the weather was miserable. Hopefully you enjoy watching this movie about the experience.
