Kayaking by Lee

My favourite part of camp was going kayaking. I really enjoyed kayaking because I have never been on one before. There were a lot of life jackets which were very colourful. As I was watching from the shore I saw people were colliding into each other with a bang. When it was my turn to go in the kayak my friend tried to capsized me and I was going to fall out but luckily I stayed upright.

Get Lost by Eric

On Thursday afternoon my group went to play Get Lost. Mr Marks made up Get Lost.

First my group went to Mr Somerville. We had to sing the National Anthem of Aotearoa. We sang and moved as fast as we could. We ran to the biggest tent. We had to build Humpty Dumpty ( humpty dumpty was a box) again. After taping Humpty Dumpty together again we moved all around the field and back to school. Finally we had to come together in the meeting room.

I enjoyed running across the field and back. It was fun.

Sleeping in a Tent by Vaifoa

On Thursday night we had to sleep in our tents and wear our PJ’s. I heard strange noises in someones tent and it was our next door neighbour whispering. The teachers heard it as well so they came and took them outside to stay there for one minute.

‘Crunch crunch’, there were some kids having a snack in the middle of the night and it kept me awake. Luckily I had ear plugs in my bag and I had a peaceful and quite night.

It was shining outside as Miss King said “Rise and Shine Campers”, so I quickly put on my clothes
for doing jump jam in the hall. I had enjoyed my day sleeping in a tent with my friends.

Camp Cooking by Grace

Do you wish that you could cook what ever you want? At camp we did camp cooking. We went into the tuck shop with Miss Jarman. All of us were very excited when she told us what we were going to cook, we were going to bake chocolate cookies. Yummy!

First thing we did was wash our hands. Miss Jarman melted the butter and got us into three groups. All of us mixed the mixer and after all of that we add the chocolate chips. We had a little taste and it was yum. Then we put it in the oven. It smelled great when we pull it out and then we had a little taste and it was delicious.

Meleane camp story.

I love camp  I always like going kayaking because I like getting splash by the water. I’m not very good  at paddling and sometimes I get stuck in between the rocks there were some teachers trying to get me out and I was happy. Mr Burt ask the student if wanted to swim and we said yes he said we could jump off the rocks some of us did big bombs. It was time to go back to school we had to drag all of the boats into the van.

Play fair and always use you wits.
Everyone must be polite to their friends.

Tell someone if you are being bullied.
